Eating more to lose weight

So I probably am guessing that after you read the title to this post you must think that I'm wrong.

But I am going to explain to you how eating 5-6 meals a day can make you lose weight quicker than eaten 2-3 or even skipping meals. You should be eating regularly to ensure your metabolism is staying high.

What does not eating a lot do to us?
People these days are looking for the easy options to lose weight and will do whatever it takes, take fat loss pills, skip meals. But not eating the right amount of food can have many negative effects such as:

  • Lack of energy- Not eating the right amount of foods may also indicate that you are not consuming the right amount of calories. Calories all add up to what you eat and is our bodies energy source. The daily intake of calories for women should be 2000 calories, whereas males should be 2500 calories. Not having enough calories gets your body into what you could say a hibernation mode, the less calories going into the body, the more the body will store as an emergency supply of energy.
  • Stores food- Not eating a lot of food will in fact put on weight because your body is storing the only food supply it is getting. So for example if you are only eating dinner and a couple snacks you would put on more weight than eating 3-5 meals a day.The reason being is because where your body is not getting a lot of food and nutrients everyday, it will store what it takes in and try to burn as little calories as possible. Where as if you are eating regular throughout the day, your body's metabolism increases, so it burns up the calories and there for you lose weight easier.
So to sum up everything up, make sure you eat 4-5 meals a day and make sure you are eating every two to three hours. This is to make sure that you are keeping a high metabolism and getting the right number of nutrients into your body. This is to also stop your body from storing any calories that is not needed by the body.
